Group Rules - UPDATED!

General Rules

  All rules listed in deviantART's Terms of Service must be followed at all times. No exceptions.

  Be polite to other members. This means no flames, no insults, etc. Failure to follow this rule will result in a swift and merciless booting from the group.

  Any spam, rudeness, etc in the comments section or anywhere else in the group will be immediately removed. And believe me, we will know.

  If you have a question, ask! An admin is pretty much always online, so responses to any and all questions will be prompt, usually within a few hours.

  Anyone and everyone can be a member.

Submission Rules

  All artwork, regardless of skill, must have clean lines and must be completely legible. This means it cannot be sketches or scribbles. This includes  WIP. In the case of traditional art, it must be scanned. Images taken with a camera will not be accepted.

  Group members are, at this point in time, limited to 2 submissions a day.

  Submit all pieces to the proper folders, please! There is a folder guide below and all the folders include a description.

  If you're still not sure where your deviation belongs, then submit it to the "Not sure where this goes" folder and we'll redirect you to the appropriate folder.


  Mature content (including nudity, swearing, etc), so long as it has a Mature Content filter and follows the rules of deviantART as listed in the Terms of Service.

  Fanart is welcome, so long as it is in comic form.

  Lineart comics are welcome, so long as the lines are cleanly defined.

  Flash comics are allowed.

  Concept art, illustrations and promotional material related to a comic are accepted, as long  as their relation to a specific comic is stated in the description. Concept art is here defined as images of settings, characters, etc. to be used as reference in the making of the comic. All concept art must be your own work.

  Non-comic related art.

  If it is drawn on notebook (lined) paper, then it won't be accepted. If it is drawn in any kind of spiral-bound sketchbook, the binding must not be visible. Images taken with a camera will not be accepted. There might be an exception if the picture is completely clean  and it's up to the admins whether it will be accepted or not.

  Hate and offensive comics/art. NOPE.

  Licensed work is NOT allowed. This includes motivational/demotivational posters, scans of manga or published doujinshi (even if they have been edited in any form, such as cropping or coloring), screenshots and edits of any kind, drawings that are direct copies of licensed material, icons/signatures/desktop backgrounds/etc that use licensed material, and so on. Screenshot comics are also included in this. In short, ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE YOUR OWN WORK.

  While lineart comics are permitted, sketches are not. All comics must be clean and readable.

Extreme porn and gore are not allowed.  Pieces that involve sexualized minors are NOT allowed. Mature  content comics are still allowed as long as they abide by those rules.



  Read the rules in their entirety very carefully.

Hit the  "Join" button and we'll get to your request asap.



  Find the folder for the specific comic type.

  Click the "+" button next to that specific folder OR open that folder and click the "submit to this folder" button at the top of the page.

  Pick the piece(s) you want to submit.

  Click "submit."

  Wait until we either accept or decline it. That should happen within the day or at most the week.

Declining policy: If you have submitted to the wrong folder you will be redirected to the correct one. If you're declined without explanation it means you've broken one or more of these rules. Read them again, thoroughly. If you still can't find what you did wrong, just ask us.


  Featured Folder. This folder is reserved for displaying high quality illustrations/promotional material of members' comics. That means no pages or strips can be posted here. You are welcome to submit to this folder, but we will be accepting at most one deviation per month for each member so make sure to only submit your best work. Keep in mind that quality control applies for this folder, therefore it's not certain that you will get one deviation per month there if your submissions fail that control.

  Cover Pages. Exactly what it means. That includes volume, book, chapter covers and back-covers as well. No promotional illustrations, posters or banners here.  This is for Original Comics only, meaning that the story's universe and characters are entirely created by you.

  Full Page. Typical comic book/manga page format: multiple images/panels that take up an entire page. Post only fully illustrated pages of an ongoing story with continuity of 2 or more pages. NO one-shots. Original only.

Single Panel: Comics that consist of one single image. Original only.

  Strips and One-shots. If a comic has more than one panel but is not quite a full page, or if the panels are organized so that they are stacked one on top of the other, then it goes in here. One-shots (stories that are concluded in one single page) also go here. A story with recurring characters but no continuous plot, is still considered a one-shot.  Original only.

Fanart--Cover Page. Same rule as before. Volume covers, book covers, chapter covers and back-covers as well. No promotional illustrations, posters or banners here.  This is for Fanart Comics only, meaning that the story takes place or/and includes canon characters from an official franchise or characters not created by you. If your story takes place in an original universe but it includes at least one canon main or recurring character it is considered fanart. Cameo appearances and references in official franchises do not go here but in the original art folder, as long as the universe and the cast are created entirely by you.

  Fanart--Full Page. Typical comic book/manga page format: multiple images/panels that take up an entire page. Post only fully illustrated pages of an ongoing story with continuity of 2 or more pages. NO one-shots. Fanart only.

Fanart--Single Panel: Comics that consist of one single image. Fanart only.

Flash Comics. Animated comics. Includes comics with movement (flash files and gifs) as well as interactive comics (comics where there's a button to click, or navigation arrows). Both original and fanart animated comics go here.

  Concept Art. This folder is for images that are used as references for larger works. This means character sheets, backgrounds, expression memes, and so on.

Illustrations and Promo Material. Here you can post illustrations and promotional material related to your comics. This includes posters, banners, teasers as well as full illustrations. The illustrations must be directly related to your comic (which must be somehow  stated in the description). You cannot post random fanart of your favourite comics and mangas here, this folder's purpose is to promote your art and story beyond the comic pages. The submission limit for this folder is 1 deviation per week.

  Not sure where this goes. The sole purpose of this folder's existence is to redirect you to the appropriate folder. If you don't know where your art belongs, submit here and we'll redirect you to the correct folder. However do not abuse this folder. The descriptions of each folder are clear enough, so refrain from repeatedly submitting here.
